Description

Lerner New Graduate Student Orientation is your time to get acquainted, get involved, and get inspired for the journey ahead. As with any multi-year journey, preparation is a must. Your participation at this Orientation is very strongly recommended.

You will meet with faculty, staff, and students of the Lerner College and the University to discover the resources that are all around you. Join us for the key information and key contacts you'll need to start your graduate work on the right foot.

4:00 - 5:00 PM Registration Opens - Table Talks - Professional Headshots - Alfred Lerner Hall Atrium

5:00 PM Individual Degree Orientations begin

6:00 PM Networking Reception - meet & greet your new classmates, your faculty, staff and other student leaders.

Parking: Pay-to-park is available in the Trabant and Center for the Arts Parking Garages.

What happens if there is bad weather? In the event of inclement weather, you will be notified by email and/or cell phone whether the event has been delayed or postponed. You are not expected to take unnecessary risks to attend orientation. If orientation has not been canceled, it is a matter of personal judgment whether traveling to campus is hazardous. Please let us know if you are unable to attend - we will be worried otherwise!

Dress: Dress is professional.

Do I need to bring a copy of my ticket? If you do not want to print your ticket, you can show your ticket on your cell phone. Don't stress if you forget your ticket - we will have a check-in list.

Before attending orientation, please fill out the Lerner Diversity Survey - this is an anonymous survey that will help us gauge our efforts for improving diversity and inclusion.
